The Taiwanese musician bonded with Jeremy Lin over dinner and called him a very cute and humourous kid
Music legend met basketball legend when Lee Hom and Jeremy Lin met up for dinner on Sunday night in Taiwan after the former wrapped up his ChangSha concert.
Joined by Taiwanese artiste and former national basketball player Blackie Chen, the trio was spotted enjoying a meal at a posh grilled meat restaurant.
In an interview after the dinner, Lee Hom smiled and praised Jeremy for being “very humourous” and “a very cute kid”.
The 36-year-old stated that they got to know each other through their mothers who are friends. “Looking at him stammering in Chinese reminds me of myself when I just joined the entertainment industry. My mother will be by my side and guide me if I said the wrong thing.”
He felt that Jeremy can help break the world’s stereotype on the Chinese race with his status as one of the legends in the basketball scene and concluded, “I grew up in New York and I don’t see a lot of Chinese play basketball [there]. Jeremy Lin is a really big contribution and breakthrough [for the race].”
It was reported that New York-born Lee Hom and NBA New York Knicks star Jeremy had numerous topics to talk about over dinner, especially on rap songs.
